How we check these
Each entry says what its evidence shows. Dates and times are Irish time, and weeks run Monday to Sunday.
- Officially announced
- The service's own announcement, schedule or regional listing names this date for Ireland.
- Available now
- A check in the last 72 hours found it on that service in Ireland, in country availability data or the service's regional listing.
- Expected — availability data
- Availability data gives a future date that the service has not confirmed in a source we checked. It can move.
- First detected
- The day availability data or our check first found it on the service. It is not a premiere date: the title may have arrived earlier, and a recent year does not make it new. Shown with when it was last checked.
- Reported by the press
- Only publications name it so far; listed apart until the service or a check confirms it.
How we count: a title is a film, a season or an episode (one card); an offer is one service and access type for it, each with its own status and date, so a title on two services, or with and without ads, is one card with two offers; a release event is any record the page shows, removals and date changes included. Section counts are titles. "This week at a glance" is chosen by rule, not by taste: releases ahead first, then recent arrivals.
"New premiere" is used only when the service's own source gives the date; recent titles found by availability data are "New to the service", and older ones are catalogue additions. Availability data for Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Apple TV, Paramount+, MUBI, NOW, Channel 4, Crunchyroll and ZEE5 in Ireland comes from Movie of the Night. Not covered by these checks: Pluto TV, RTÉ Player; their releases appear only when we have checked them by hand or the service has announced them. Dates ahead come from Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Apple TV and MUBI only; other services' releases show once they have arrived. This is a selection, not every release.
Picture and sound formats (4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos) are not listed: none of our sources gives them per service and country, and they also depend on the plan and the device. If a streaming app plays Atmos as PCM, see why your receiver says PCM and the no-Atmos troubleshooter; for the picture, the picture settings that matter.
This page lists arrivals on services in Ireland. For the first rental, purchase or streaming date of a film in the country, see the digital release calendar for Ireland; each film and series page has its own dates and where to watch. Also: what to watch and coming soon.
